State corrections officials say visitors to all Alabama prisons will be fingerprinted before entering the jail.
The policy will start this weekend.
Officials say the new system will improve security to properly identify visitors.
They also claim it will speed up the process of checking in.
Some say the idea of finger printing people who have not broken the law is offensive
