On Thursday, women in the Wiregrass stepped into a dressing room and took a step against breast cancer, thanks to Flowers Hospital’s free bra fitting event.
The hospital partnered with Belk and Wacoal bra line to fit women. For every woman that was fitted, a $4 donation was made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Organizers say many women do not know that a well fitted bra can affect their health. The Flowers Hospital Health Center team was also at the event to discuss and schedule mammograms.
Those who missed today’s event can still take advantage of this opportunity. There will be two more free bra fittings on Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Belk.
