You walk into a store looking for presents for dad, and you get overwhelmed.
The aisles seem endless and so does the merchandise.
But after a few trips to area stores, I might have gotten a few ideas that will be easy on your wallet and make your dad happy.
“One of the best and probably most popular are t-shirts or nice dressy shirts kind of like what im wearing. Columbia fishing shirts are huge for this area. And then there are some t-shirts like life is good and t-shirts with those funny sayings "old guys rule" Eagle eye outfitter manager Dustin Lee said.
If your dad is into sports, you can go with buying him some new golf gear.
“Golf is huge in our store, not only golf club sets like these but also accessories like little putting greens, or tees or markers. Little things they can fill up and make a really great gift basket for the dads.” Play it Again Sports Owner Amy Vincent said.
If you haven't nailed that perfect gift for dad yet on father’s day, you can always get him a toolbox.
Or if you're extra creative, listen to the songs your dad sings in the car, and do what these kids are doing.
“I might get him a cd, ya he wants a cd, an album that he wants.” Zach and Gage Vitty said.
And although Father’s Day is about dad, his present doesn't have to include only him.
Buying him something like water skiis or tubing equipment allows family bonding.
“Not only do you get dad something great, it's something the whole family can enjoy, I mean what better than a weekend out on the lake.” Vincent said.
And if all else fails, you can bring him to his favorite restaurant or cook him a meal yourself.
I know my dad is always watching so I have to say happy early Father’s Day to him, and all the other dads out there.
