Dothan, AL - Dothan Leisure Services and the Dothan Civitan Club are celebrating special kids and their families.
Saturday, the second annual Family Fun Day was held at the Miracle Field Park.
Miracle League players and special Olympics athletes were there with their families for a day full of fun.
There were carnival games, inflatables, train and limo rides. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office also brought out their helicopter and bloodhounds.
Everyone seemed to have their favorite activity.
“You've got a bunch of friends and family out here coming out here having fun,” said Brad Cobb.
Brandi Deese said, “I like the limosine ride because I've been on one before when we had the prom last year, and that was really a lot of fun.”
You can watch some of these athletes in action Wednesday, April 3.
The Dothan-Houston County Special Olympics will be held at Dothan High School. The games kick off at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to come out and cheer them on.
