DOTHAN--A local organization needs your help.

"Felines Under Rescue" works to control the population of feral and stray cats.

The group traps cats, gets them spayed or neutered and then releases them.

Organizers say this week has been very busy and the cost adds up.

"We need money, I've written two checks to the spay and neuter clinic just this week close to $4,000 to do all this," said Barbara Seaman.

You can mail donations to Felines Under Rescue P.O. Box 1788.

When you spay or neuter a cat. The cat doesn't have the want to, to fight. In a lot of ways you do the poor Tom cat a disservice putting him back out in the wild. The other cats will nearly beat him to death, sometimes they do kill them, he will have bite marks all over him and be so tore up at times he will die from infections.I wouldn't halp yall neuter a wild feral cat, if yall are going to do this yall need to find homes for them or put them down. I neutered my tom cat, now I'm going to have to build a outside hutch to put him in, I don't want him to be killed by stray unneutered tom cats.Live and learn.
