It will soon be easier to choose the best sunscreen for you.

The Food and Drug Administration announced today that it will develop new labeling requirements for sunscreen products.

The new labels will show if a product is "broad spectrum," meaning it protects against both ultraviolet rays A and B.

They will also tell how long a sunscreen is "water resistant" while either swimming or sweating.

A few words will be banned: waterproof, sweatproof and sunblock.

Also, SPF ratings above 50 will be obsolete, instead labels will say "50 plus".

You'll start to see these changes next summer.
