May 2, 2013- The Annual City of Enterprise Children’s Festival slated for this weekend will be postponed due to the possibility of bad weather in the area.
Parks and Recreation Director Billy Powell said it’s a tough decision to make but he feels that it’s the right one at the present time.
“I would love to be able to have this festival this weekend but we have to err on the side of caution,” Powell said. “Safety is our number one priority and we want families to feel safe at the park and we want to be able to put on a first-class event”
The city has named July 13th as the alternate date for the festival. The event schedule will remain the same and will feature all day events for the children and will be capped off with a fireworks show.
