The future of the hit reality show "Duck Dynasty" is now in question.
The family that stars on the series is threatening to walk off the program, after one of its members, Phil Robertson was put on an indefinite hiatus after making anti-gay comments to a national magazine.
The Duck Dynasty family is standing by patriarch, Phil Robertson suggesting the show can't go on without him.
A&E suspended Robertson indefinitely after he told GQ magazine that gays are sinners, and compared homosexuality to bestiality.
The family released a statement saying "we have had a successful working relationship with A&E but as a family we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty."
Executives here at A&E in New York are also getting pressure from fans who are calling for a boycott of not only the show, but also the network until Robertson’s return.
Robertson will appear in the upcoming season which begins January 14th. That's because nine of the ten episodes have already been shot.
A&E told CBS News it has no comment about the Robertson family's statement.
