While it may not be official yet, Dothan City Schools is continuing its accreditation.
After almost a year and a half of being reviewed, the school is now accredited by the quality assurance review teams exit report.
Officials chose to voluntarily go through the rigorous testing.
“I think every citizen in Dothan should be proud of their school system and the accomplishments that our employees and the students and the parents are making in the school system. You know, accreditation is a standard that every outstanding school system should be seeking,” said Dothan City Schools Superintendent Dr. Sam Nichols.
Dothan City Schools tested highly functional in 3 categories and operational in the remaining 4.
Official numbers should be released in about 30 days.
