Dothan crews have started repaving one of the busiest city streets.
They're repaving Westgate Parkway from Harrison Road to Highway 431.
State money is paying for the project.
City officials are warning drivers to be careful when traveling in that area.
"It's just improving the ride and surface of the road and all we are asking is that motorists be aware of that there are going to be lane closures, the process will go pretty quick," said Charles Metzger, assistant director of Public Works.
The city is also planning to repave sections of Fortner and Montana Streets.
