A Dothan man faces a criminal tampering charge after he allegedly removed legally placed political campaign signs.
A press release from the Dothan Police Department states that Charles “Chuck” Law, 75, of Saint Johns Drive, was identified as the man removing the signs on two different occasions.
The investigation began after numerous complaints were received alleging signs in the District 4 area of Dothan were being removed from properties where they were legally placed. The Dothan Police Department began conducting surveillance in that area and recorded a subject, now identified Law, removing the signs.
Law was recorded allegedly removing signs belonging to Commissioner Critt Snellgrove and candidate John Ferguson.
Law has been charged with second degree criminal tampering. His bond has been set at $500.
