Residents at the Dothan Rescue Mission will be warm this holiday season.

Sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels and wash cloths were dropped off Thursday morning at the mission.

Organizers say they collected more than they expected.

They say all these donated linens will save the mission money during this difficult economic time.

"One thing we always appreciate is how much the community is involved whenever they see a need whatever charity that may be this is a great community they are always reaching out and willing to help others," said Brad Hardy, executive director of Dothan Rescue Mission.

Hardy said these linens will last the mission for seven months.
