The Dothan Pro Classic tennis tournament has brought prestige and financial aid to the city for 14 years.
The tournament has always boasted a large purse, or winnings.
But in 2009 they lost the $20,000 title sponsorship from “Movie Gallery.”
The Wiregrass Foundation helped with the $20,000 deficit until another sponsor came along.
That funding ran out in 2012 and they're still searching for a new title sponsor.
Event Organizer Angela Turner says the tournament wouldn't be possible without community support.
For next year organizers say they will need about $10,000 more in sponsorships.
If they can't make their goal, they will have to let the United States Tennis Association know by October.
