A Dothan police officer is recovering after he was struck by car during an undercover operation.
Investigators say on march 22nd, two officers were patrolling a neighborhood on foot, when they saw 27-year-old LeeAndrea Doss making a drug deal.
When officers tried to stop doss, she jumped in a car and tried to drive off, hitting the officer in the process.
"A male passenger in the car reached over and grabbed the gear shift and slammed the car into park the officer was injured and taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center where he was treated for minor leg injuries. He has got some bruising." Dothan Police Captain Will Benny said.
Doss is charged with first-degree attempted assault, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card from a previous case.
Her bonds total more than 22-thousand dollars.
