A police chase Friday evening in Dothan ended with a suspect and officer in the hospital.
Investigators say around 4 p.m. Friday, they got a call from a neighbor on Stonebrdige Road saying two men were breaking into a house.
The house was vacant.
Police say when they arrived on the scene, the suspects began running on foot and that led to a chase.
The chase ended in the 800 block of South Lena Street.
Investigators say one of the suspects collided with the police car.
Some witnesses on the scene say they saw it happen.
"He (the suspect) was trying to go around but couldn't because the other officer was coming so fast and I just knew that poor child was dead, I just knew it, the way he was flying and he hit him so hard."
Both, the officer and suspect were transported to the hospital.
The suspect suffered injuries to the leg and the officer's hand was injured.
Police say both are non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is being charged with burglary.
At this time police are still looking for the other suspect.
