A very special fifth grader left his classroom today to get a better look at Dothan.

Joe Grubbs, 10, traded in his title as S.G.A. President of Grandview Elementary to be the President of the Dothan Education Foundation. He stopped by area meetings and met with some of the city’s most influential people.

Grubbs has important questions for all of the people he met today and that have given him some words of wisdom for his classmates.
“My fellow students, if you ever get to do something big just keep a lot of confidence and keep your head up and keep just going, don’t let anything stop you of your way,” said Grubbs.

The highlight of Grubbs’ day was meeting Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz and sitting at his desk.
