One area fire department is seeing an upgrade. Daleville Fire is volunteer but that doesn’t stop them from having the latest training and equipment.
The Assistant Fire Chief Robert Jackson also works at Fort Rucker. He is using his many years of experience to help revamp the Daleville department.
In the past year they added a rescue truck and are making sure all of their trucks are up to the latest certifications.
This not only benefits their ability to serve the community, but could bring insurance costs down in Daleville.
Having an up to date fire department could lower the cities’ insurance rating, dropping home owners’ insurance payments.
Robert Jackson said, "I think that will the new training, the modernization of equipment, we are putting the Daleville Fire Department and the City of Daleville in the right direction. If there is volunteers out there that want to volunteer their time, this is the place to be."
