Investigators have narrowed down their search
While they have not yet released the suspect's real name, they do say they have "street" names.
The story first broke Tuesday afternoon when authorities responded to a call around 3:30 in Midland City.
Neighbors say two men were arguing about speeding through the mobile home park.
Witnesses then say one man pulled a gun, and everyone scattered.
Several minutes later four shots were fired into the trailer..
“Everybody that has stayed there says that he lived there. we have gotten different reports that he ran into different trailers and off scene and as we moved in he reportedly ran into a field and disappeared so we think he disappeared with law enforcement on scene lessened he got back into his home,” said Investigator Harvey Mathis with Dale County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities continue to interview witnesses in the case.
Deputies say they recovered two pistols and a shot gun while at the scene last night.
Investigator Mathis says he believes his team is very close to catching the suspect.
