Dale County - Another foreign company is making Dale County a second home. Brielmaier Motor Mower will locate its US headquarters in Pinckard.
“It’s really nice that we are able to get involved with this company. It’s going to be a small start here, but they’re a very well established company in the German speaking nations of Europe,” said Eric Basinger, executive director of the Ozark-Dale County Economic Development Corporation.
The company manufacturers a slope mower that’s used to prevent roll-over on steep inclines like a median.
They were able to develop a partnership with another German company in the area, MAHA USA.
Initial staffing needs will be minimal. They’ll be leasing space from MAHA as well as utilizing their workforce.
“The benefit for them is they didn’t have to rent a big building somewhere. Since some of the people here speak the language, it made their president feel really comfortable with dealing with us,” said MAHA USA Chief Operating Officer, Wolfgang Raffler.
Dale County leaders say it’s a good fit.
“We’re real excited to have them. I think their product is going to do well in the North American market, but of course it’s all dependent upon their sales with how big the company will grow here in Dale County,” said Basinger.
Their lease began August 1st, and they are already in production.
MAHA USA is hopeful their partnership pays off.
Company leaders say in the long run they could actually produce some parts for Breilmaier.
Basinger added they have some promising leads for other industries coming to Dale County.
