One after another members of the DDRA spent the day bouncing ideas around.
"It's been a little over a year since this group has been able to meet and discuss and just have some candid conversation around the table," said DDRA Exe. Director Jansen Tidmore.
The group's focus is to outline plans and goals within the next year, 5 years and 10 years.
"Set forth some goals everybody get on the same page and work towards executing those goals," said DDRA Secretary Susan Wilkins.
"Coming into this session each board member did a questionnaire that they filled out on their personal goals, some of the things that they'd like to see," said Tidmore.
Those questionnaires suggested some early ideas.
"Moving forward with the Saints Apartments, finding a developer for the 100 block of Foster and it does a lot with beautification, making sure that downtown's not only clean but that it's beautiful through greenery and maintenance," said Tidmore.
Members say the overall goal is clear.
"I think mainly at a high level is economic development, what's going to grow Dothan," said Wilkins.
The meeting was opened to the public.
The group also mentioned looking into development on Oates Street.
