Chessey and her handler officer Mike Meadows recently completed Homeland Security training. Since then, Chessey has helped authorities make several major arrests.Police have uncovered more than 50 drug cases. With Chessey's help, they believe they'll find more.
The Cottonwood Housing Authority funds Chessy's well-being, including food and board. Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska paid for her training. Police say Chessey is a great addition to the police force and they look forward to working more with the canine.
