If you hear a siren sound on Aug. 2, do not worry.
The Dothan/Houston County EMA and Dothan Communications Center have scheduled a monthly test of the Community Outdoor Warning System. The test is set for Friday, Aug. 2 at noon.
The August test will be the first test of the outdoor warning system since June. The July test was originally scheduled for July 5, however it was canceled due to inclement weather.
The siren will sound for three minutes. If you have any questions about the test, you are asked to call the Dothan/Houston County EMA Office at 334-794-9720.
This test may be cancelled if severe weather is in the area during the time of the test.
