The Community Outdoor Warning System Sirens Test for this Friday, May 3 has been canceled.

According to the press release, the test has been canceled because of a 60-percent chance of rain currently predicted by the National Weather Service (NWS).

While at this time, no severe weather is forecast by the NWS, to avoid any chance of confusing the public, siren test activation is canceled.

Sirens have been checked through Silent Tests already this week and are checked weekly through silent tests that assure sirens are in working order.
