(Dothan)--North American trucks have arrived to collect electronic bingo machines at Center Stage.

Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange issued a raid of the business this morning.

Houston County Chairman Mark Culver issued a statement on Wednesday, he said "The county, while not responsible for Center Stage as a whole, does want to comply with State Regulations and will fully cooperate with this investigation."

Culver also said local law enforcement have been doing routine checks on the machines in recent months. There is no word yet on how long the investigation will last.

I believe that all the money that was wasted on the raid (moving vans, etc) would have better served our schools. I thought that Alabama was in bad financial shape. Sure seems like a WASTE of badly needed funds to me.

Once again people say the liberals are trying to turn our country socialistic no it is our good ol Bible thumping conservatives. What happen to being able to vote? Heck woman better run and hide bc they want us to go back to the 50's for you. They want to control who you marry and let the rich keep getting richer. People need to get a grip and see it the Republicans that want to control how you live. People have a problem with Obama because he is black. Yeah I just went there and I am white.

Just to let you know today over 100 people from Center Stage were laid off. These people have bills to pay, families to feed, and roofs to keep over their heads. All I have to say is Thank you "Lying" Gov Bentley and "Lucifer" Strange. I also would like to Thank Houston/Henry DA Doug Valeska for being in on it then going awol to avoid questions about it. It's funny how "Church" people (Mainly Baptists) can sit at machine a week ago and have no problems with it. You all are a bunch of hypocrites and I for one am seperating myself and family from anything Baptist (Southern or otherwise) I have decided to go the way of the free thinker an the beliefs of an atheist. I'm sick of hypocritical, Bible-thumbing, Jesus freaks...You say you love Jesus you sure proved it yesterday and if this is Christianity I don't want any part of it.

Dang, so many people are upset because their fun is gone. Okay, some of y'all need a better hobby....seriously. And it sucks that some of you are out of a job, but I've seen several businesses around town that are hiring. Get out there and look, a job is a job. Working at a place like this is just asking for trouble.

And so the truth comes out. They took SLOT machines yesterday. Face it, if you put money in a machine to play bingo, it is a slot machine. Weren't they told to use PAPER bingo only?? Now they have to do so. Might need to check to make sure the money is going to charity. When something like this occurs, it amazes me how ignorance shows in replies. The Alabama law says no to slot machines. Too many of you carry this too far with stupid comments.
