Pike County – A single-vehicle crash this morning claimed the life of a Brundidge man.
Ivery Dunford Jr., 51, was killed when the 2001 Freightliner truck that he was driving struck a tree that had fallen in the road.
Dunford was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Gary Williams. The tractor trailer came to rest by striking a building. There were no other injuries. The crash occurred Friday morning at approximately 5 a.m. on AL 130 eight miles north of Banks.
