EVERGREEN POST – A single-vehicle crash Monday evening claimed the life of a Brewton teen.
Nicholas Robinson, 13, was killed when the 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup in which he was a passenger left the roadway and overturned.
A second child passenger was transported to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton and was later transferred to Sacred Heart in Pensacola with life-threatening injuries. Two other children passengers suffered serious injuries.
The driver and an adult passenger were treated at area hospitals. The driver, Earl Dickerson, 33, of East Brewton, and the adult passenger, Angela Robinson, 36, of Brewton, were both charged with one count of murder and placed in the Escambia County Jail.
The crash occurred at 5:12 p.m. on Escambia County 55 four miles southeast of East Brewton. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
