Retailers are getting their Christmas present early this year...
Sales are up compared to previous years.
Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, and based on this weekend's numbers, retailers are expecting a strong December.
They say shoppers are spending their money more freely and they won't stop anytime soon
“We've seen nothing to tell us that this is going to change. November as a whole was a strong month for us. It did not just start on Black Friday. So we see a turn around as a whole in the business,” said Ginger Spry, JCPenney Store Manager.
It's also reported by several different retailers in the area, that customers were friendlier and more relaxed this year than last.
They attribute it to enthusiastic shoppers who feel better about spending money now than in years past.
