Artist Visits Wallace Community College

Art palette

A local artist showed off her talent at Wallace Community College Monday.

Jeannie Maddox has been painting since she was a kid.
She's known for her photo-realist paintings.
Maddox talked to aspiring artists about what it takes to be a painter.
"I would say you have to stay with it. You don’t paint when the mood hits you, you set up certain hours every day and you work at completing those hours."

Maddox says an average painting takes her about 3-months to finish.
