Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army!
The Wiregrass chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army held a celebration in honor of the Army’s 238th year.
There wasn’t your typical cake cutting, this one involved a sword.
Major Victor Wallace said, “Another year keep on going. Maybe there will be 500 years. That would be great. Wonderful that we have the exercise of freedoms that we have. And one of the reasons we do that is because of the Army and its defense of our nation and our freedoms.”
Part of the tradition is having the youngest and oldest active soldier in attendance to help cut the cake.
