Two area organizations are getting ready to remember and honor the anniversary of Sept. 11.
On Wednesday, the Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity is commemorating the National Day of Service and Remembrance by serving the Kinsey Community.
Volunteers will be putting the roof on a rehabbed house at 3 Concourse Court. The group is asking veterans, police officers, firefighters, paramedics and other first responders to attend.
To volunteer for the project, call 792-8453.
Additionally, the Patriot Guard Riders are hosting a remembrance ride for area first responders.
The ride will start at Porter Square Mall at 9 a.m.
Riders will head east on Highway 84 to veterans Memorial Park for a ceremony.
The community is invited to come out and show their support.
