Are More Jobs Heading to Dothan?

Dothan could be expanding soon with a new cultural influence.

More than 20 Chinese business owners took a tour of the circle city today (9/22/12) to see if they could establish a way of life in our area.

For many of them it was their first trip to the south so Mayor Mike Schmitz made them feel right at home by allowing them to see fresh cotton and even exposing them to the golfing world.

Schmitz says he hopes Dothan becomes the right place for them to stay.

"At this point they're not serious about moving their company here but that's how it all begins and I hope we create some jobs because we believe made in Alabama is a worldwide trademark that is worth doing," said Mayor Mike Schmitz.
