On Wednesday, September 3rd at approximately 3 p.m , Officers of the Andalusia Police Department responded to the Andalusia Regional Hospital in regards to a patient with a gunshot wound.
The victim, a 28 year old male identified Darian Darrell Stallworth as the person that had shot multiple times at the vehicle that the victim was driving on Jackson Street in Andalusia. The victim's vehicle was occupied by the victim and one other person. One of the rounds that was fired penetrated the driver's front door of the vehicle striking the driver in the leg. The victim was treated for non life threatening injuries at the Hospital and released.
Darian Stallworth, age 42, a resident of Red Level, Alabama was located at a business in Andalusia and taken into custody without incident. Stallworth's vehicle was impounded.
Stallworth was transported to the Andalusia Police Department and was subsequently arrested for two counts of Attempt to Commit Murder, Class " A" Felonies, and one count of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle, a Class "B" Felony.
Stallworth's bond was set at $500,000 on each charge of Attempt to Commit Murder and $200,000 for the charge of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle for a total bond of $1,200,000.
