Alabama Governor-Elect Names 3 to Cabinet

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gov.-elect Robert Bentley has picked
Tuscaloosa Circuit Judge Chuck Malone to be his chief of staff and
he's using officials from Gov. Bob Riley's administration to fill
two other spots in his cabinet.

Bentley announced the selections Thursday. Bentley, who's from
Tuscaloosa, said he has known Malone for many years, and he has the
administrative skills to head the governor's staff.

Bentley announced that Riley's insurance commissioner, Jim
Ridling, will stay on in the new administration, and Birmingham
attorney David Adams Perry, who previously served as assistant
finance director in Riley's administration, will become the state
finance director.

Bentley replaces Riley on Jan. 17.
