MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama first lady Patsy Riley has written a book about the 11 governors and their spouses who have lived in the Governor's Mansion since it opened in 1951.
She will debut the book cover and discuss its upcoming release Wednesday at the mansion in Montgomery.
The book called "Alabama's First Ladies and Their Governors" will be published in November. Mrs. Riley says she interviewed spouses, children and friends of governors who lived in the mansion and collected dozens of photos for the book.
It is her second book. Her first book, "When the Dinner Bell Rings at the Governor's Mansion" raised $120,000 for the restoration of the historic house next door to the Governor's Mansion.
