The trooper who was struck by a vehicle last night in Crenshaw County was released from the hospital this morning, March 7, and is at home resting.
Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.
An Alabama State Trooper is recovering after getting hit by a car Thursday evening.
Investigators said it happened at 5:58 p.m. on U.S. 29, just two miles north of Luverne. The trooper, whose name was not released, was directing traffic when the car hit him. Investigators said he was wearing a reflective vest and did have emergency lights activated on his patrol car.
Paramedics took him to Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne for treatment. State troopers did not comment on his condition and are still investigating.
