MCCALLA, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the apparent suicide of a man who shot himself with a gun left in a bar bathroom by an off-duty Hoover police officer. The man who found the gun told police that he sold the gun, and then the buyer's friend used the gun to kill himself at a gas station.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- The personal data of roughly 400 Army employees at the Redstone Arsenal may have been compromised in a security breach. A worker took paper documents home, which is against Army regulations. The employees who were affected will be provided with a credit-monitoring service.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Firefighters have contained an apartment fire in Huntsville that displaced two people. The blaze broke out early Saturday morning. Officials said they believe the fire began in the kitchen, though their investigation was not complete.
