DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) -- An Alabama man has been sentenced to more than six years in federal prison on charges of having child pornography.
The Dothan Eagle reports that Shawn Patrick Douglas of Enterprise was recently sentenced to the 78-month prison term by U.S. District Judge Mark Fuller.
The sentence also includes required mental health treatment and supervision by authorities after he is released from prison.
Douglas pleaded guilty in March to the felony possession of child pornography charge. Records show Douglas was charged with the possession of a desktop computer containing child pornography on June 16, 2011, in Coffee County.
