Alabama's "Human Trafficking Task Force" is meeting for the first time Friday.
The 15-member group was created this past legislative session.
They'll work to come up with a comprehensive response to crimes, coordinate strategies to help victims and raise awareness of the problem.
The task force will meet at 1:30 in the State House in Montgomery. That meeting is open to the public.
