Abbeville, AL - Abbeville Elementary School students will have a lot to look forward to when they return to school in the fall.

This summer, they school's media center and computer lab are being completely renovated.

Work is already underway

The current library and computer lab will be opened up to make one big media center.

School officials are excited about the changes.

Henry County Interim Superintendent Lesa Knowles said, “We're going to get new windows, new furniture, new shelving. We're going to really create a great space for our kids and encourage them and their literacy skills. We know how important that is at the elementary level.”

Construction is expected to be completed by the middle of August.
