MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama legislators convening Tuesday in Montgomery will face issues ranging from abortion to guns.

The House Republican Caucus is pushing a constitutional amendment that would make it harder to restrict guns in Alabama. Two Democratic leaders are backing a bill that would allow people to keep guns locked in their vehicles at work.

Some Republicans are pushing a bill to toughen restrictions on abortion clinics, including requiring them to use a physician with admitting privileges at a local hospital.

Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh has a bill to consolidate the state's more than 20 law enforcement programs into one agency.

House Speaker Mike Hubbard says his first priority is setting up a repayment plan for the $437 million taken from a state trust fund to support the General Fund budget.
