A Project Started Years Ago Will Finally See Completion

When approaching the intersection of Main Street and South Oates Street in Dothan, you may have noticed a few piles of bricks lying on the side of the road. They were part of a project to turn a cement wall into a brick wall. However, it never got done. Now, the Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority is finishing the long overdue structure.

“Taking some of the spaces that are available to us and renewing them, revitalizing them, is what we are looking for and this is another opportunity: taking this ugly wall and making it look new,” explained James McGhee, member of the DDRA.

They plan to have the project completed before next week's U.S. – China Manufacturing Symposium.
