A new bus will soon be coming to the Burdeshaw-Solomon Senior Center in Headland.

The last bus was totaled in an accident near the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds, in Dothan, last fall.

Since then the center has been relying on a van from the First Baptist Church in Headland and center employees to pick up seniors.

The center's director says she appreciates the church lending a helping hand in their time of need.

"There are not many places you can say 'hey I need a van we have had a wreck and we need a van' and they say 'you can come and get it just come and get it when you are ready Ms. Gail',"said Gail DeFee, center director.

The new bus is expected to arrive in four to six weeks
