It may be Valentine’s Day but one local couple is also celebrating National Organ Donor Day.
Stephanie and Scotty Patrick's love story met in 2010.
Scotty was born with Chronic Renal Failure.
His first kidney transplant was in 1984 from his father, it lasted 28 years until two years ago when he had to start Dialysis.
The average waiting time for a kidney is 5-7 years.
Stephanie coincidentally turned out to be a perfect match.
On August 19th, 2013 Stephanie donated her kidney to Scotty.
They were married six weeks after the transplant on September 29th.
The pair hopes their story inspires others to be organ donors.
