Tuscaloosa Man Drowns in Tennessee River

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Huntsville police are investigating the drowning of 27-year-old Christopher Barlow, whose body was found in the Tennessee River.

Police say the drowning occurred Sunday morning just east of the
University of Alabama in Huntsville Boat Docks.

Don Webster, chief operating officer for HEMSI, says Barlow was carrying identification that shows he was from Tuscaloosa.

The Madison County Rescue Squad and divers pulled the man from the river about two hours after the drowning was reported.

Police say investigators from the Major Crimes Unit of the Huntsville Police Department are investigating the circumstances.
