BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A solider from Alabama who was killed by a bomb blast in Afghanistan will be laid to rest.
A funeral for Army Spc. Andrew Hand was set for Monday morning at Liberty Church in Birmingham. He will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Montevallo.
Hand died on July 24 near Qalat in Afghanistan when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle. Three other soldiers also died in the attack.
