Couple Killed in 2-Vehicle Lawrence County Crash

MOULTON, Ala. (AP) - A husband and wife were killed and another person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Lawrence County Road 217 about four miles east of Moulton.

Killed in the accident Saturday morning were 62-year-old Gary Wayne Cox and his wife, 53-year-old Sandra Standridge Cox of Town Creek.

The Coxes were traveling north in a GMC Sonoma on Lawrence County 217 when their vehicle was hit on the driver's side by a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. The driver of that vehicle, 29-year-old Brandon Shane Mundy of Courtland was injured.

Troopers said the occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts.
