A new restaurant will soon be opening in downtown Dothan.

Janna Everett is the owner of the Blue Moon Cafe on South Foster Street.

She is leasing the old Club Rio building just two doors down from her restaurant.

Initially, Everett planned to open an oyster bar. She shied away from the idea after the Gulf oil spill. But Friday, she announced, she's going to give it a try.

“The theme is um, I don't want to give away everything but it's going to be a little on the western side, the country western side, with the oysters, baked oysters, raw oysters, and a huge salad menu. So it will be a real fun place to come sit down, eat, have a few drinks, dinner, and maybe dance a little bit,” said Everett.

Everett says her new restaurant will open sometime this fall.

Good Luck Janna! I know it will be great. Probably won't make the grand opening but I will definitely try it when I get home.
