Finding a good deal is always a plus for Cassie Powell. And now, she has even more options to find a bargain with the re-opening of Goody's.

"There is more selection at Goody's than some of the other places and I like shopping at Goody's.”

Thursday, the old Peebles building in Troy changed names and gained customers.

"Peebles Stage Stores bought the name Goody's and because of the popularity of Goody’s in Troy we decided since we have the name we will bring it back," says Dana Larusso.

Over the weekend store manager Dana Larusso says thousands of customers stepped inside the new shopping center, delighted to have it back in the area.

"They missed Goody's, they liked the brands that they carry they liked the store, they were familiar with Goody's."

More selection at the store means more customers and more revenue for the city.

"If people aren't going to other places to shop than the money is going to stay here so I think it is going to help Troy a great bit."

Larusso says Troy residents aren't the only ones spending their money at the store. Residents from surrounding areas are driving to Troy to spend their cash.
