Pinson Man Charged in Wreck That Killed 2

CENTER POINT, Ala. (AP) - A Pinson man has been charged after a weekend traffic accident in Center Point killed a man and a pregnant woman.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian says authorities have charged 19-year-old Joseph Alexander Goolsby with "murder, extreme indifference/vehicle," in the death of 34-year-old Edgar Perez.

Charges are pending in the death of 28-year-old Yasmine Aguilar who died after having her child delivered in an emergency surgery. The baby survived along with two other children who were in the car.

Authorities say the accident happened along Center Point Parkway early Saturday when a speeding car rear-ended Perez.
