Local residents are using their feet to fight breast cancer.
They are walking 60 miles for the Susan G. Komen walk to raise money for a cure.
Breast Cancer Survivor, Cyndi Tereszkiewicz says, "It takes a lot of passion to want to walk 60 miles."
In October, the group will head to Atlanta for the 3-day walk.
Tereszkiewicz was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 after receiving an annual mammogram.
Tereszkiewicz will participate in her first walk which is dedicated to her mom, who recently passed.
Officials say, Alabama has one of the lowest new breast cancer rates in the nation.
